Prime Minister Tareq Rahman urged citizens to be more responsible in conserving the environment in a message posted on his verified Facebook page on 3 August 2026.
He said that alongside the state, every citizen has an important role in building a clean and livable Bangladesh.
He said all citizens have a duty to conserve the environment and that fulfilling individual responsibilities would help create a clean environment and a beautiful country.
He called on the public to be conscious about keeping their surroundings clean, adding that the country belongs to everyone.
He stressed that small initiatives and collective efforts are capable of bringing major change for the country.
The appeal highlighted active public participation in raising environmental awareness and building a clean Bangladesh.
