A worker was killed and two other people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in Lalpur, Natore.
The collision occurred before dawn on 5 August in the Nabinganagar area of the Lalpur-Ishwardi regional highway.
Lalpur police chief Md Shafiqul Islam confirmed that the incident occurred.
The deceased was identified as Iyarul Islam, 30, a worker from Udhanpara village.
Local residents said several workers were travelling by battery-powered auto-van to plant rice seedlings in Joynagar, Ishwardi.
They said an Ishwardi-bound ambulance hit the auto-van from behind near Nabinganagar.
The residents said the auto-van then lost control and collided head-on with an oncoming engine-powered vehicle.
Residents took Iyarul Islam and the two injured men to the উপজেলা health complex.
A doctor declared Iyarul Islam dead there.
The injured men, Babu Hossain, 40, and Lokman Hossain, 50, received initial treatment before being sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for further care.
Both injured men were identified as residents of Udhanpara village.
