A security worker died after falling from a residential building in Chandrima Model Town in Mohammadpur.
The deceased was identified as Md Suruj Sheikh, 40.
The fall occurred at about 9am on Wednesday, and he was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
He was declared dead at about 10:30am.
Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of the hospital police camp, said the body was kept at the emergency department morgue and the relevant police station had been informed.
Sheikh's nephew, Md Babu, said he fell while watering flower pots on the roof of the house.
Babu said Sheikh had been watering pots on the building's third floor.
His family said his home village was Bajuabatek in Nagarpur, Tangail.
