Police in Araihazar, Narayanganj, said they arrested five suspects in separate operations on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.
According to police, three of the arrested were wanted in old cases and two were accused under criminal (CR) warrants.
Police identified the arrested as A. Aziz Sarkar Palash (22), Md. Monir Hossain Sarkar alias Shikdar (48), Md. Rakibul (20), Md. Mahbubur Rahman and Md. Moksed Ali (18).
Police said the arrests were made on the basis of old cases and CR warrants.
After completing legal procedures, police sent the five suspects under escort to the court in Narayanganj.
Araihazar police station Officer-in-Charge Md. Sobjel Hossain said such operations to curb crime and arrest suspects in various cases would continue.
