The University of Dhaka scheduled a programme to repaint and rewrite July graffiti on several campus walls from 1 August.
The university said the initiative is intended to preserve the artwork.
Vice-Chancellor A. B. M. Obaidul Islam was scheduled to inaugurate the programme at 11am at the main gate of his residence.
The pro-vice-chancellors for education and administration, the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the proctor and the director of the Arbory Culture Centre were also expected to attend.
Work was planned for 1, 2 and 3 August on the route from the vice-chancellor’s residence to Rokeya Hall.
The university said the repainting and rewriting would retain the graffiti’s original features, spirit and significance.
Registered students and artists were asked to gather in front of the Zainul Gallery at the Faculty of Fine Arts by 9am on 1 August to take part.
The programme was listed among university events marking the second anniversary of the July mass uprising.
