US President Donald Trump said the United States would continue intensified military strikes on Iran.

Speaking after a Cabinet meeting at Camp David in Maryland on July 31, Trump said Washington wanted to win the war.

He said Iran would not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Trump claimed that US operations over five months had completely destroyed Iran’s military capability; the evidence set contains no independent verification of that assessment.

He also expressed diminishing trust in ongoing discussions with Iran.

Trump said Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth had told him that Iran fired five missiles at a US base in Jordan; that assertion was not independently verified in the evidence set.
