Bangladesh’s gross foreign-exchange reserves stood at US$36.592 billion as of 4 August, Bangladesh Bank’s latest data show.
The central bank also recorded US$406 million in remittances during the first three days of August, from 1 to 3 August.
That was 84.4% higher than the US$220 million received over the same three-day period a year earlier.
Remittance inflows on 3 August alone were US$133 million, according to Bangladesh Bank.
From the start of fiscal year 2026-27 through 3 August, remittances totalled US$3.265 billion.
The comparable total in the previous fiscal year was US$2.698 billion, with the central bank putting the year-on-year increase at 20.9%.
