Kakhaber Benidze takes over as BAT Bangladesh managing director

BAT Bangladesh has named Kakhaber Benidze as its managing director, effective 1 May 2026.

He succeeds Monisha Abraham, the company said.

The company announced the appointment on 4 August.

BAT Bangladesh said Benidze joined BAT in 2001 and has held leadership roles in marketing, supply chain and general management.

Before moving to Bangladesh, he was general manager for BAT Switzerland and the BAT Austria cluster, it said.

The company said his career has included assignments in Ukraine, the Middle East, the Caucasus, Moldova, and markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Benidze said he would focus on strengthening the company’s foundations, accelerating business progress and contributing to Bangladesh’s growth alongside colleagues and partners.

BAT Bangladesh said Benidze also joined its board on 1 May.
