Heavy congestion affected Dhaka’s Airport Road on the morning of 2 August.

At about 8:30am, a traffic queue was seen stretching from Kuril Biswa Road towards Banani-Kakoli.

Vehicles were also backed up along the Matikata flyover towards ECB Chattar.

Congestion extended from ECB Chattar to Kurmitola Hospital on the flyover route.

Traffic from Kuril towards the airport was comparatively normal, although the disruption affected roads behind that section.

Office-bound commuters faced extended delays during the morning rush.

One commuter said that buses stopping outside designated areas and drivers failing to follow lane discipline could be avoided to reduce such congestion.
