Gazipur’s district administration has suspended four personnel at the Kashimpur Union Land Office after an unannounced inspection on 3 August.

District Commissioner Md Nurul Karim Bhuiyan said the action followed preliminary substantiation of complaints about irregularities.

He said he spoke with office personnel and people seeking services during the inspection.

Those suspended were acting Union Land Assistant Officer Wazed Ali Khan, office assistant Mostafa Kamal, Shafiqul Islam Khan, and Abdul Halim.

The evidence does not specify the alleged irregularities, whether a formal investigation has been opened, or the duration of the suspensions.

The scope of the action is unclear: one account describes four suspensions, while another characterizes all office officials and employees as suspended but identifies the same four individuals.

After visiting Kashimpur, Bhuiyan went on to inspect another land office in Safipur, Kaliakair.
