Kazi Jasin has been appointed Director General (Grade-1) of Bangladesh Television on a one-year contract basis.

Bangladesh Television is the state-run broadcaster.

The appointment was announced in a notification issued on 6 August by the contract and foreign recruitment branch of the Ministry of Public Administration.

The notification says the appointment is made under Section 11(2) of the Bangladesh Television Authority Act, 2001, effective from the date of joining.

Under the appointment's terms, Jasin must give up any work relationship with any other profession, business, or government, semi-government, or private organization.

The notification states that other conditions of the appointment will be determined through a written contract.

The notification also says the order is issued in the public interest.
