Lebanon's National News Agency said Israeli forces caused what it described as a large explosion in the southern town of Haddatha on 5 August.
The blast came on the first day of a new round of Israel-Lebanon talks held in Rome that Wednesday.
The talks are meant to move forward full implementation of a framework agreement reached in June.
Under that outline, Hezbollah would be disarmed and Israeli forces would withdraw from southern Lebanon in phases.
No casualty figures, damage assessment, or immediate Israeli military response were included in the initial information.
