On 4 August, Sarjis Alam, the National Citizens Party's northern region chief organizer, predicted that Chhatra Dal will face a worse fate than Chhatra League.
In a Facebook post, he wrote that the sooner Chhatra Dal becomes like Chhatra League, the sooner it will meet a fate worse than Chhatra League's.
The post came after clashes between Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir on the same day at Jagannath University, Dhaka College, National Medical College and Dhaka Alia Madrasa.
At Jagannath University, the clash occurred during an event in the central auditorium attended by the University Grants Commission chairman.
The other clashes took place at Dhaka College, National Medical College and Dhaka Alia Madrasa, also on Tuesday.
The quoted portion of the post focused on the organizations' prospects and did not refer to the day's clashes.
