Nine children of Nagad entrepreneurs were named winners of a Quran recitation competition organised under Nagad Islamic.
The contest began on February 5 and drew about 3,000 participants from 10 regions.
The grand final concluded on July 28 at a hotel in Dhaka.
Thirty finalists performed recitations before the judges.
The judges assessed correct makhraj, adherence to tajwid, recitation accuracy, vocal quality and overall presentation.
Three winners were selected in each of three age-based categories.
Nusaiaba, Mohammad Khalid Talukdar and Abidur Rahman Yasin received the first-place awards in the three categories.
First-, second- and third-place finishers received Tk50,001, Tk30,001 and Tk20,001 respectively, along with crests and certificates.
Each of the 30 finalists received Tk10,000 and a certificate, while 60 regional selections received special certificates.
Nagad administrator Md Motasim Billah said the initiative was intended to encourage religious and moral values among younger people.
Billah said Nagad planned to recruit six madrasa graduates as territory managers in the future.
Sharia Supervisory Committee chair Professor Dr HM Shahidul Islam Barakati said the programme aimed to help children learn correct Quran recitation from an early age and develop moral values.
