The Bangladesh Jewellers Association has raised the VAT-inclusive price of 22-carat gold by Tk9,856 per bhori to Tk232,930.
The new rate took effect at 10am on 6 August 2026.
The association said it revised the price after the local value of pure gold increased.
The VAT-inclusive price for 21-carat gold was set at Tk222,491 per bhori.
The rates for 18-carat and traditional-method gold were set at Tk191,056 and Tk156,064 per bhori, respectively.
The association had last adjusted gold prices on 31 July, when it raised the VAT-inclusive 22-carat rate by Tk2,216 per bhori to Tk223,074.
It also set silver prices at Tk420 per gram for 22-carat, Tk400 for 21-carat, Tk345 for 18-carat and Tk260 for traditional-method silver.
The stated Tk232,930 22-carat price per bhori is supported by both items, although one item separately gives a per-gram calculation that produces an approximately Tk232,960 total.
