Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is due to inaugurate the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum at 9 a.m. on 5 August.
At a press conference in the Secretariat on 4 August, Culture Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury said the museum would open to the general public from 6 August.
On the opening day, visits are expected to be restricted to family members of people killed during the July mass uprising.
From 6 August, entry will be by ticket, priced at 50 taka for adults and 25 taka for children.
Chowdhury said timed-entry slots have been introduced, so visitors will need to book online in advance.
Deputy Culture Minister Ali Newaz Mahmud Khayyam said a colourful concert would be held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the afternoon to mark the inauguration.
The culture ministry said the ceremony is expected to be attended by senior government officials, diplomats, academics, cultural figures, July fighters, and family members of those killed.
Chowdhury added that any specific allegations of irregularities in the museum's construction or management would be examined seriously.
