Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Culture Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury and information and broadcasting adviser Dr Zahed Ur Rahman disclosed the plan at a Secretariat press briefing on Tuesday, August 4.
Chowdhury said the ceremony would include reminiscences by July uprising participants and families of martyrs, along with the screening of a documentary about the uprising.
He also said authorities would investigate and take necessary action if specific corruption allegations over the museum project were received.
Adviser Zahed Ur Rahman said the museum would open to the general public from August 6.
He added that entry would be through online tickets in limited daily numbers, priced at 50 taka for adults and 25 taka for children.
