Air India flight AI379 encountered turbulence while travelling from Phuket to Delhi on August 4.
The flight was carrying 134 passengers.
Air India said the brief turbulence caused a temporary change in the aircraft's altitude.
The airline said the aircraft landed safely in Delhi and that all passengers and crew disembarked safely.
The supplied accounts put the number of injured passengers at at least 12.
Air India did not confirm that total, saying instead that a small number of passengers and cabin crew had sustained minor injuries and that no serious injuries had been reported.
The airline said those with minor injuries were taken for precautionary medical assessment and care.
One passenger said a sudden loss of altitude caused their head to strike the cabin ceiling before they fell to the floor.
Air India said the aircraft also sustained some damage.
The airline said it was cooperating with aviation authorities investigating the incident.
