A fire broke out at the private Bliss Hospital in Satkhira on 4 August.
The precise start time was unclear, with accounts placing it at about 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Four fire-service units worked for about an hour to bring the blaze under control.
Dense smoke spread through the hospital building during the incident.
Satkhira Fire Service station officer Md Shimul Rana said firefighters searched the building after controlling the fire and rescued everyone who had been trapped.
The hospital’s assistant administrative officer, Pradip Kumar Biswas, said about 50 to 60 patients were admitted when the fire started.
Biswas said announcements were made for patients and relatives to move to safety after the fire was detected in the basement area.
Patients from the ICU, NICU and other wards were taken outside and transferred by ambulance to Satkhira Sadar Hospital, Satkhira Medical College Hospital and other facilities.
Biswas said moving newborns and patients receiving intensive care was among the most difficult parts of the evacuation.
Satkhira police chief Masudur Rahman said no information of injuries or deaths had been received at that time.
Information on injuries was inconsistent, as one account cited unnamed sources who said several people were hurt while police said they had no such information.
Traffic on the Satkhira–Khulna highway was temporarily halted as police, border guards and traffic personnel assisted the response, before movement resumed.
Fire Service officials said the cause of the fire and the scale of damage would be determined after an investigation.
