Bangladesh received $2.859 billion in remittances through formal banking channels in July, Bangladesh Bank data show.

The amount was 15.4% higher than the $2.478 billion received in July 2025.

The year-on-year increase was about $381 million.

Inflows on July 30 and 31 totalled $152 million, bringing the month’s overall remittance figure to $2.859 billion.

One account of the central bank data described the July figure as the highest for the month in eight years.
