Three members of the same family travelling on a motorcycle were killed in a collision involving a truck in Dighalia, Khulna, on Friday night.
The victims were identified as the motorcycle rider’s wife, daughter and sister-in-law.
The motorcycle rider survived the crash.
Accounts conflict over his condition: one police account described him as well, while others described him as seriously injured and receiving hospital treatment.
The precise crash site is disputed, with accounts placing it in either Ambariya or Domra in Dighalia.
The reported time also varies between about 9:30pm and 10:30pm.
Police accounts gave differing descriptions of how the collision occurred, including an oncoming truck striking the motorcycle, the motorcycle passing the truck, or both vehicles attempting to give way.
Dighalia police said the truck had been seized and legal proceedings were under way.
