Two microbuses were involved in ditch incidents on the Dhaka–Chattogram highway at Tamta in Daudkandi at about 11am on Thursday, 6 August.

The first microbus, travelling towards Chattogram, lost control and went into a ditch.

The driver of a following microbus then tried to record the first vehicle, before a passenger bus made contact with the second microbus and it reached the edge of the ditch.

People nearby went to the scene and rescued the driver or drivers from the vehicles.

Eliotganj Highway Police Sergeant Zulkarnain Nadim said the crashes resulted from driver negligence and that no serious injuries were reported.

One account said the second microbus had no passengers and that nobody was killed or injured.

Nadim said both microbuses were recovered and placed in police custody.
