Police in Shibganj, Chapainawabganj, arrested three people on allegations that they were preparing to commit a robbery.
Additional Superintendent of Police Wasim Firoz said the operation took place overnight on the Kansat–Gomostapur road in the Minubazar area.
He said officers acted after receiving information that a group was making preparations for a robbery.
Police said they recovered two locally made sharp weapons, a CNG-run vehicle and a large iron-cutting tool.
A case was filed at Shibganj police station, and the three suspects were sent to jail through a court, Firoz said.
The allegation that the suspects intended to commit robbery is based on the police account; no response from the suspects is included in the evidence.
