Ferdousi Majumdar, a veteran Bangladeshi actor, made her first podcast appearance in an episode of 'Behind the Fame with RRK'.
The episode was scheduled to air on 1 August 2026 on Maasranga Television and Radio Dinrat 93.6 FM.
Host Rumman Rashid Khan said the programme was completing one year and that the team planned to invite a living legend for the occasion.
Majumdar said she acted in 'Ektala Dotala', which she described as Bangladesh Television's first drama, in 1965.
She said the drama, written by Shahid Munir Chowdhury, featured Ramendu Majumdar as her co-star and involved a month of rehearsal because it was live.
She said she believes there is no alternative to rehearsal or preparation in drama or any other work.
Majumdar also said she had once declined offers to act in a Satyajit Ray film and in the Bangladeshi film 'Surja Dighal Bari'.
The actor, who turned 83 on 18 June 2026, continues acting on stage and television.
