The Election Commission has set 20 August for the presidential election.
Election Commission Secretary Akhtar Ahmed announced the schedule on 6 August.
Prospective candidates may submit nomination papers on 13 August between 10am and 4pm.
Scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled for 16 August.
Candidates will have until 4pm on 18 August to withdraw their candidacies.
Voting is due to take place from 2pm to 5pm on 20 August in the parliamentary chamber.
Ahmed said the timetable was finalized by the chief election commissioner after consultation with the speaker, under the Presidential Election Act, 1991.
He said a voter list for the election had already been prepared.
Ahmed said the Election Commission was taking the necessary preparations to complete the election process within the announced timetable.
