RAB-11 said it detained two men in the Mogarpara bus stand area of Sonargaon, Narayanganj, late on July 31.
The force said its personnel stopped the pair after they allegedly tried to leave the area on a motorcycle on noticing the operation.
RAB-11 said a search of the men and the motorcycle recovered 1,955 yaba tablets.
The tablets were allegedly concealed in the motorcycle's air-filter box, and the vehicle was seized, RAB-11 said.
RAB-11 alleged that the two detainees were active members of an organised drug-smuggling ring.
It said a case under the Narcotics Control Act was filed with Sonargaon police station.
