The Directorate General of Health Services recorded three child deaths with measles symptoms across Bangladesh in the 24 hours ending at 08:00 on 1 August.
The deaths were recorded in Sylhet, Mymensingh and Rangpur divisions, with one in each division.
The national bulletin also recorded 872 new measles or measles-symptom cases during that period.
Of those new cases, 121 were confirmed as measles and 751 involved measles symptoms.
Since 15 March, the national tally has reached 16,180 confirmed measles cases and 129,061 children with measles symptoms, for a combined total of 145,241 cases.
Over the same period, the health authority recorded 840 deaths: 744 among children with measles symptoms and 96 after confirmed measles.
It said 111,674 people had been admitted to hospital with measles symptoms since 15 March, while 107,397 had been discharged.
Separately, the Sylhet divisional health office said its daily bulletin recorded 13 newly confirmed measles infections and two child deaths with measles symptoms in the division over its stated previous 24 hours.
The divisional figure of two deaths differs from the national bulletin’s count of one death in Sylhet for the 24 hours ending at 08:00; the supplied data do not clarify whether the reporting periods or classifications were different.
The Sylhet office listed 662 confirmed measles infections in the division since 1 January, including 332 in Sunamganj, 220 in Sylhet, 62 in Habiganj and 48 in Moulvibazar.
It listed 113 deaths associated with measles in the division since the start of the year, comprising 107 deaths with symptoms and six deaths in confirmed cases.
The office said 77 people with suspected measles had been admitted in the division in the previous 24 hours and 286 suspected patients were receiving treatment in public and private hospitals.
