The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) recorded four child deaths involving measles symptoms in the 24 hours from 8am on August 1 to 8am on August 2.
DGHS said it recorded no death from laboratory-confirmed measles during that period.
Its main daily tally listed 1,137 people with suspected measles or confirmed infection, including 1,022 suspected cases and 115 confirmed cases.
DGHS said that from March 15 through August 2, 748 children had died with measles symptoms and 96 had died with confirmed measles, for a stated total of 844 child deaths.
The same tally put the cumulative number of people with measles symptoms at 130,083 and laboratory-confirmed cases at 16,295.
DGHS listed 112,620 hospital admissions involving suspected measles and 108,283 discharges over the same period.
An alternative DGHS-attributed tally listed 1,032 suspected cases and 125 confirmed cases in the latest 24 hours, rather than the 1,022 and 115 figures.
That alternative tally also listed 112,630 cumulative suspected-case admissions and 95 confirmed-measles deaths, differing from the other DGHS-attributed totals.
In a separate dengue update, DGHS said two people died from dengue and 423 patients were admitted to hospital in the same 24-hour period.
The 423 dengue admissions included 154 in Dhaka division, 81 in Khulna, 54 in Barishal, 49 in Chattogram, 36 in Mymensingh, 29 in Rajshahi, 16 in Rangpur and four in Sylhet.
DGHS said 16,104 dengue patients had been admitted during 2026 through August 2, with 14,930 discharged, 1,118 receiving treatment in hospitals and 56 deaths recorded.
