The Directorate General of Health Services said no dengue deaths were recorded nationwide in the 24 hours ending August 1.

It reported that 371 people were newly admitted to hospitals with dengue during the period.

Chattogram division recorded the highest number of new admissions, at 91, followed by Barishal division with 69.

Dhaka North City Corporation reported 57 admissions, while Dhaka division outside the city corporations recorded 46.

Dhaka South City Corporation recorded 32 admissions and Khulna division recorded 34.

Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions reported 23, 17 and two new admissions respectively.

The authority put the cumulative number of dengue cases this year at 15,681.

Of those patients, 61.4 percent were male and 38.6 percent were female, it said.

A total of 14,458 dengue patients had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, according to the authority.

The cumulative dengue death toll for 2026 stood at 54.
