Squally weather forecast for 13 areas until 1pm

The Meteorological Department forecast temporary gusty or squally winds with rain or thunderstorms in 13 areas until 1pm on 4 August.

The forecast covers Rangpur, Dinajpur, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet.

Winds from the south or southeast may temporarily reach 45 to 60 km/h in those areas.

River ports in the affected areas were advised to display local cautionary signal No. 1.

For the 24 hours beginning at 6pm, the department forecast rain or thunderstorms in many places across Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, and in some places in Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions.

It said isolated moderate-heavy to very heavy rainfall was possible, while day and night temperatures could remain nearly unchanged nationwide.
